Abstract

This article provides step be step instructions in the use of ANSYS Work Bench Finite Element (FE)software for generating a three-dimensional geometry of a wing, meshing the wing geometry and performing a Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of airflow over the wing for the purpose of determinning lift and drag forces on the wing. The instructions were provided to students in as fluid mechanics course in the author's institution. The students were then required to perform their own computrized simulations and write lab reports related to the results.
